Farewell 2019
It’s the last blog post of 2019! Since launching Future Funding, I’ve gained a new respect for bloggers. It’s hard to come up with topics week after week – and there are people who write every day! It’s a goal of mine to be more consistent with it in 2020.
I’d forgotten we were moving into a new decade this week until all the ‘it’s the end of the decade!’ pieces started popping up online everywhere. I don’t get that nostalgic about these kind of pieces as a rule, it seems like an arbitrary block of time to group to me. Or maybe I just don’t like being reminded about how quickly time passes!
But – growling at those articles the past few weeks did make me think about this past year. And what stands out from the whirlwind is how grateful I am for my community, and all the chances I get to support it. So thank you. Thank you for dedicating your time and energy to work that makes our world better. Thank you for chipping away at the problems that can so easily overwhelm. Thank you for finding time for joy and laughter. Thank you for coming to this tiny corner of the internet. And thank you for dreaming of a better future.
Here’s to 2019. And here’s to the New Year and the next 10 years!
